How it works
Gilbert collects bulk trash on a rotating schedule, roughly every five weeks, by neighborhood zone. Your zone's collection week is on the town's bulk trash calendar.
Cities update these programs often. Confirm your date and the current rules on the official Gilbert bulk trash page or by calling 480-503-6400.
The rules
- Collection about every five weeks, skipping Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks
- Set items out no earlier than the Saturday before your collection week
- Have them out by 5:00 a.m. on Monday of your collection week
- Piles can't exceed 10 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 5 feet high
- Keep piles at least 5 feet from containers, vehicles, and other obstacles
- Tree trimmings must be under 5 feet long and 12 inches in diameter; bag grass and leaves
- Oversized piles and off-week appliance pickups cost extra
What bulk pickup won't take
- Mattresses
- Regular household trash (use your black container)
When bulk trash isn't enough
- You have a mattress, which Gilbert's bulk program doesn't take
- Your collection week is a month away
- The pile is bigger than 10 x 5 x 5 feet
- Your HOA doesn't want piles sitting at the curb for days
That's when it's worth calling us. Junk removal in Gilbert means our crew carries it out and hauls it away on your schedule. Or rent a dump trailer and clear it at your own pace.
